Real-world impact, Real credits, Real Fast

These intensive learning experiences combine systems thinking, collaboration, and creativity to address complex community issues. Each sprint can be worth either 1 or 1.5 academic units and spans three days (Friday to Sunday). Some preparation activities are expected ahead of the sprint itself, like readings or watching videos to better understand the issue that will be tackled during the event.

Students will earn credit through active participation, teamwork, professional mentorship, and a structured deliverable process, including presentations and a final reflection. Sprints will allow students to work on meaningful, real-world issues, to gain employer-valued experience, to learn from community experts and to strengthen their career skills like problem-solving, communication and leadership.

Students can take up to three 1-unit sprints (ADM 3394) or two 1.5-units sprints (ADM 3395, for a total of 3 units. These courses follow a pass/fail (Satisfactory/Not Satisfactory) grading system.

These sprints are open to undergraduate students (2nd to 4th year) from all faculties and are designed to foster interdisciplinary collaboration.
