First Year Advising

The first-year onboarding initiative prepares you with the information you’ll need upon embarking on your undergraduate career. Topics such as your program of studies, Co-op, academic standing and regulations, student life, scholarships, the Career Centre’s services, how to take care of yourself, and much more is covered in this video series.

As a first-year student, you will be matched with an upper-year Telfer student mentor who can provide guidance and advice to help you transition from high school or CEGEP to university. Meet Your Dean 

Meet the Dean of the Telfer School of Management, Stéphane Brutus. Dean Brutus obtained his PhD in Industrial-Organizational Psychology and completed a post-doctoral fellowship during his studies. Between 2006 and 2017, Dr. Brutus served as Interim Dean, Associate Dean of Graduate Professional Programs, Chair of the Management Department, and Director at the Bell Research Center for Business Process Innovation at the John Molson School of Business at Concordia University.  

Dean Brutus is championing Telfer’s Vision for a Better Canada. Join our Dean and Telfer Nation as we build a greener, healthier, happier, wealthier and more prosperous future for all.

Bonjour! Hi! Kwey! 

I would like to welcome you to the Telfer School of Management. We are a school that is internationally recognized  for innovative, academically rigorous, and student experience-focused business programs. 

As Vice-Dean of Undergraduate Programs, I am honoured to work on behalf of the students alongside a dedicated team of professionals at the Telfer  Student Services Centre. Together, our aim is to ensure a rich and holistic student experience that incorporates academic, professional, and social experiences throughout your degree. You will learn through modern and relevant course content and through experiential learning activities both in and out of the classroom. 

Telfer takes great pride in differentiating itself from other business schools through our commitment to building a better world. For over 50 years, we’ve developed young business minds by providing a deep understanding of the marketplace and the tools needed to leverage newfound knowledge into positive real-world outcomes.
