Use this checklist to be prepared, confident and connected as you begin your BCom studies.
- Read your @uOttawa.ca email regularly so you don’t miss messages from the University and the Telfer school.
- Get to know your program structure including your courses, requirements, and degree path.
- Follow all academic regulations, to meet expectations, and academic standing.
- Know the important dates and deadlines so you can plan and avoid missing key academic steps.

Telfer Peer Mentoring Program
As a first-year student, you’ll be matched with an upper-year Telfer student mentor who can guide you in your transition from high school or CEGEP to university. About your Dean
Dean Stéphane Brutus received PhD in industrial-organizational psychology and completed a post-doctoral fellowship. Between 2006 and 2017, he served as interim dean, associate dean of graduate professional programs, chair of the management department and director at the Bell Research Centre for Business Process Innovation of the John Molson School of Business of Concordia University.
