Yes, there are many events for MBA students that you can participate in throughout your studies.
Some include our MBA Conference Series, various networking events throughout the year, Telfer Career Centre workshops, and events hosted by our alumni associations.
Our MBA Student Association also hosts and supports various events for MBA students and activities throughout the year including case competitions, speaker series, pub nights and many other social events.
Yes, our Telfer MBA program offers international trips.
The trips are two to four weeks and include industry visits with our partner countries. Depending on the duration of your trip, it will count for 3 to 6 units towards your electives. To ensure the safety of our students, international trips and exchanges are not taking place during COVID-19.
Yes, you can join an MBA club outside of classes by joining the Telfer MBA Student Association (MBASA). The MBASA includes multiple committees which organize various events and activities throughout the year.
Yes, every year, we send delegations of MBA students to the MBA games along with many other case competitions at the national and international levels. At Telfer, we host our very own Diversity and Inclusion case competition here in Ottawa.
You can take part in one or more of many of the following:
- SFU Net Impact Sustainability Challenge
- DeGroote Canadian Marketing League
- Vermont Family Enterprise Case Competition
You can also submit an application to the Case Competition Committee if you’d like to attend another case competition that is not listed.
