At the Telfer School of Management, we recognize the need for proper guidance and orientation for all of our new students. In light of our new college transfer program, we’ve incorporated a mandatory orientation session geared specifically to you, which will take place during your first week of school in September. This session will provide you with the information we consider most essential to your situation and educational background, and ensure that you are well prepared to begin your studies in Telfer’s BCom program. With a networking component included in the orientation session, you have the unique opportunity to meet other college students at the beginning of your program.
Meet your Academic Specialist
Through the Telfer School’s Undergraduate office, an Academic Specialist will be dedicated to you and help address all questions regarding your studies. From course enrolment to option changes, clarification on academic regulations and program requirements, to overcoming challenges that may arise while studying at the University of Ottawa; our Academic Specialists are here for you.
The Peer Mentoring Program helps newly admitted students make the jump from high school or college to university. The Program is designed to help with the transition and provide new students with someone with whom they can interact, and from whom they can learn and seek guidance about any aspect of university life. Specific mentors are allocated to college students. These mentors have lived the same transition as you and have excelled at the Telfer School. The overall goal of the Peer Mentoring Program is to maximize new students’ university experience.
