Peer Mentoring Program
The beginning of your University career is an exciting time, but we understand that you may also feel a sense of anxiousness as you embark on this new journey. We want to ensure that you have a fulfilling experience as a Telfer student. It is our hope that you will feel comfortable, confident, and ready to take on new challenges as you begin your studies. That’s where the Telfer School of Management Peer Mentoring Program comes into play.
The Peer Mentoring Program helps you make the jump from high school to university. It sharpens your ability to achieve personal success and helps you make the most of your university experience. As a first-year student, you will soon be matched with an upper-year Telfer student who will be happy to talk to you about anything and everything. These friendly mentors have not only “been there” and “learned the ropes,” but have also excelled academically and outside of the classroom.
We hope that you take the opportunity to interact with your mentor throughout the year. Each mentor will have designated hours during which they will be available to discuss. You will also be able to contact your mentor via e-mail at any convenient time. The mentors are looking forward to meeting you and helping you out during your first year!
