Intern to Build Your Work Experience and Your Network
Eager to work while you’re part of our program? Take advantage of an internship. It’s a perfect opportunity to gain business experience, expand your professional network, and decide on a rewarding career path. You can learn just as much, if not more, about management outside the classroom as you can inside it. We open the door to a range of experiences that will not only enrich your studies and inform your career path, but that you will also remember and cherish for the rest of your life.
Students who wish to take the additional internship option, will declare that after completing their first term in the program. They will be informed about the process and eligibility criteria during that term. Telfer MBA students selected for an internship will earn six additional units for their internships. This opportunity is normally pursued over two terms on a part-time basis, but could also be compressed into a full-time one term option after the completion of program requirements. Most students who take advantage of internships will earn while they learn.
A Telfer School faculty member supervises each student on an internship to make sure he or she applies concepts and tools from our program. Each host organization is responsible for workplace supervision of each student. In addition to helping organizations achieve clearly stated objectives, interns must prepare final reports that show how they fulfilled the requirements set out by their host organizations.
