Admission Scholarships
Our goal is to attract top-quality candidates to our MBA program. The following scholarships will be awarded by the Admissions Committee on a rolling basis, in most cases, so it is best to complete your application as soon as possible to increase your chances of receiving an award.
Telfer School of Management Admission Scholarship
$5,000
(no application required, limited scholarships available)
The applicant must be admitted as a full-time student in the MBA at the Telfer School of Management at the University of Ottawa; demonstrate academic excellence and/or excellent GMAT/GRE score; and demonstrate outstanding potential based on the review of the candidate's work experience and motivation. Recipients will be selected by the admission committee at the time of admission.
Admission scholarships for French-speaking students - Professional MBA (24 months)
$3,000 - $6,000

Applicants must have applied as a full-time student (Canadian citizen or permanent resident) to the Professional MBA program (24 months) at the Telfer School of Management at the University of Ottawa. The candidate must indicate their intention to take the MBA courses in French and have an admission average of at least A- (80%) and the minimum professional experience required, or B+ (75-79%) and 5 years of professional experience (with proof of increasing management responsibilities – either through staff or financial management). Recipients will be selected by the admission committee at the time of admission.
Hennessey Admission Scholarship

The applicant must be a woman admitted into the MBA program and have demonstrated great potential during the admission process.
John de la Mothe MBA/MSc Admission Scholarship
1 scholarship of $2,000
(no application required)
The applicant must be registered as a full-time student in the MBA program or first year of the MSc program at the Telfer School of Management at the University of Ottawa; demonstrate academic excellence (an average of at least B+); and demonstrate his/her interest in the field of innovation, science and/or technology.
The Honorable Robert René de Cotret Commemorative Fund
$1,000

Along with rewarding demonstrated academic excellence, preference will be given to students with an interest in public service or international affairs.
Women’s Business Network Scholarship
$1,500
(no application required)
The applicant must be a female who is enrolled in the MBA full-time program. Candidates will be judged on the basis of their scholastic achievement during their previous studies and their demonstration of leadership abilities.
