Biography
Stacey Taylor has a PhD in computer science from Dalhousie University and is a chartered professional accountant (CPA) in Canada. She has been actively involved in the CPA Professional Education Program at the CPA Atlantic School of Business since it started in 2014. Over the years, she has served as a facilitator, session leader, mentor and lead facilitator, working in both English and French.
Her current research evaluates the application and performance of artificial intelligence in accounting and finance. She’s a frequent reviewer for the Conference on Information and Knowledge Management and the Association for Computing Machinery’s Symposium on Document Engineering.
Taylor also co-authors two important community-focused publications: Canada’s Food Price Report, which forecasts food price trends for the upcoming year, and the insight report on the Canadian Food Sentiment Index, a twice-yearly national survey that tracks consumer sentiment on pricing, affordability, trust, consumer behaviours and safety. Media outlets such as the National Post and CBC have covered her work. She has also testified before the House of Commons Standing Committee on Agriculture and Agri-Food. Taylor is a strong supporter of transforming knowledge into impact in Canada.
