Biography
Professor Mathieu Bouchard studied applied economics and worked for 8 years as a strategic advisor in investment management for large pension plans, during which he earned the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) professional designation and completed an MBA in action After that, he completed a PhD in management at HEC Montréal. Professor Bouchard studies activism for sustainable policymaking in the healthcare, education, transportation, and technology sectors. His research has been published in peer-reviewed journals including Academy of Management Journal, Academy of Management Review, and Nonprofit and Voluntary Sector Quarterly, in addition to several practitioner-oriented journals. He uses inductive, process-oriented qualitative research methods including organizational ethnography and discourse analysis.
