Biography
Professor Carrière is primarily concerned with the strategic management of human resources and related issues. He has conducted a number of empirical studies in the field, including qualitative research on HR practices in high technology firms. His research in this area has also focused on a quantitative approach, particularly in connection with verifying the effects of HR practices prescribed by various theoretical models. He has been awarded "Best Paper" and an "Honourable Mention" by the Administrative Science Association of Canada.
Publications
His research findings have been published in Industrial Relations, CJAS, Career Development International, Gestion, Effectif, Psychologie du travail et des organisations and Recherches sociographiques. As well, many of his papers have been published in the proceedings of Canadian and international scientific conferences, such as the Canadian Industrial Relations Association, ASAC, the Association francophone de gestion des ressources humaines, the Association internationale de psychologie du travail de langue française and the International Association of Business and Economics. He is co-author of the book Psychologie du travail et comportement organisationnel (published by Chenelière Éducation).
