Alumni Testimonials

My experience was incredibly beneficial as the first pathway into high finance, creating a solid foundation for my financial analysis and investment analysis capacities, and providing me with an unparalleled opportunity to network with industry experts. I most enjoyed the opportunity to elevate my in-class learning to the level of real-world application. It is the most useful experience I gained from my time in university, which allowed me to solidify my financial modeling, equity analysis, and economic understanding in a very current format.

The Mircoprogram Capital Markets is easily one of the most beneficial extracurricular opportunities available to high-performing finance and accounting students at uOttawa. It allowed me to explore the countless career paths available in high finance, as well as network directly with industry professionals currently working in those areas. By joining the microprogram, you surround yourself with other passionate individuals and together tackle many of the practical problems faced in a number of these capital market and investment banking positions. The level of responsibility and leadership entrusted to the students is, in my opinion, what makes the microprogram so unique; it feels more like a senior role you might fill well into your career than it does a university program.
