Excellence Awards

The following scholarships are awarded to MBA students who demonstrate outstanding achievement during their program of study:

Pierre Maurer – Metropolitan Life Scholarship

Granted during the summer term
Minimum: $500

The applicant must be a MBA student having completed at least 30 units with the highest overall academic average. No application is required.

Pauline Guindon-Tassie Memorial Scholarship

Granted during the summer term
Minimum: $500

The applicant must be an MBA student with academic achievement and a good working knowledge of the second official language, and must demonstrate an interest in marketing. No application is required.

Telfer School of Management MBA Student Leadership Awards

Four awards granted during the summer term
$500 each

The applicant must be an MBA student. The award will be given in recognition for outstanding leadership and extra-curricular contribution. No application is required.

James F. Roache Award for applied ethics in business and finance

Granted during the summer term
Minimum: $1000

This award was established by James F. Roache to encourage MBA graduates of the Telfer School of Management to model applied ethics in their professional lives, thereby demonstrating the resulting positive impacts. The applicant must be enrolled as an MBA program student at the Telfer School of Management and must demonstrate outstanding ethical standards. No application is required.

MBA Alumni Association Excellence Award

Granted during the summer term
Minimum: $1000

This award was established and managed by the MBA Alumni Association to recognize the exceptional work of a MBA student or a group of MBA students promoting the theme of social responsibility, sustainable development and business practices, social innovation, or ethics and governance in an assignment or project completed as part of a course in the MBA Program, or of an extracurricular activity during their time as an MBA student. Application required.

Réginald Monachino Scholarship

Granted during the winter term
Minimum: $3 500

This scholarship was generously created by Mr. Reginald Monachino to award a scholarship to a student who is registered in the professional MBA program at the Telfer School of Management of the University of Ottawa, and who has distinguished him/herself through his/her academic performance.
