Biography

Professor Manga's interests are health economics, health policy, ethics in health care, international health, pharmaceutical and medical technology, and economic development of Third-World countries. He has published 28 monographs and over 90 articles, and has also contributed to numerous government reports in the areas of health insurance, intergovernmental fiscal relations, international health, manpower policies, and has submitted briefs to nine commissions of inquiry on health care issues in Canada.

Professor Manga is currently working on a book on the integration of chiropractic treatment into the larger healthcare system.

Professor Manga has served as a consultant to a wide range of private sector organizations, the Canadian government, foreign governments and international organizations in matters of health care financing and insurance, health policy, and health care management and administration. He has also offered special seminars in program evaluation, cost-benefit and cost-effectiveness analysis and taught executive level courses in applied economics in Canada and abroad including India, China, Hong Kong, and Africa.
