Jaason Geerts

Biography

Jaason Geerts is an internationally recognized leadership scholar, TEDx and keynote speaker, executive educator and health system adviser.

He is vice-president, research and leadership development, at the Canadian College of Health Leaders, adjunct professor at the Telfer School of Management, and an associate at Cambridge Judge Business School. He also earned his PhD from Cambridge. In 2026, he was one of three leaders named a fellow of the Canadian College of Health Leaders, the college’s highest professional designation.

His research examines expert and evidence-based leadership, leadership development and talent optimization, crisis leadership and organizational resilience, and the relationship between leadership and organizational performance. Although much of his empirical work is in health care, his theories and frameworks are designed for application across sectors and complex organizational settings.

Geerts has advised organizations internationally, and his work has informed the World Health Organization, the International Hospital Federation, Yale University, and the U.K. National Health Service. His research has been published in journals including JAMA Network Open and BMJ journals, cited by the WHO, and featured by the Globe and Mail, CBC national news, and CTV National News. He created an evidence-based crisis leadership model underpinning nearly $500,000 in research funded by the Canadian Institutes of Health Research.
