Program fees
Tuition for the Executive MHA program is CAN$51,000.
Tuition does not include the travel and accommodation-related expenses for the mandatory international Capstone Week.

Financial support
Scholarships
The Executive MHA program provides up to three scholarships of $10,000 each for students entering the program. One scholarship will be awarded in each of the following categories:
- Women in Leadership – Recognizing women driving change in their healthcare practice or organization.
- Impact Innovators Award – Awarded to individuals demonstrating mission-driven innovation in healthcare.
- Developing Leaders – Supporting high-potential healthcare leaders on a strong career growth path.
All applicants admitted to the EMHA program will automatically be considered for the scholarships during the admissions process. The awards recognize excellence in the field of health care as well as leadership and professional impact.
These scholarships are disbursed in two instalments of $5,000, one per term, during the first two terms. To receive each instalment, students must be enrolled full time in the program.
Telfer EMHA Diversity and Equity Scholarship
Value: $51,000
The Telfer School of Management offers this scholarship to support students from racialized or Indigenous communities who are admitted to the Executive Master of Health Administration (EMHA) program at the University of Ottawa.
Eligibility
To qualify, you must:
- Identify as:
- A racialized person (non-white in race or colour, excluding Indigenous identity), or
- Indigenous (First Nations, Inuit, or Métis) with documented proof as per University of Ottawa guidelines.
- Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident.
- Be admitted as a full-time student to the EMHA program.
- Demonstrate meaningful community involvement.
Application process
To be eligible, you must express your interest and submit the following documents when you accept your offer of admission:
- Self-identification as a racialized person (as defined by the Ontario Human Rights Commission), or
- Proof of Indigenous identity in accordance with University of Ottawa procedures.
- A letter (approx. 500 words) outlining your community involvement.
Note: The scholarship is disbursed in six instalments—one per term—while you maintain full-time enrolment in the EMHA program.

Tuition tax credit
Executive MHA students may be eligible for a tax credit on the tuition portion of their program fees. The amount you will be credited will depend on individual income circumstances. We recommend that you discuss this with a financial advisor to determine your specific eligibility and potential benefit.
Executive MHA employer-sponsored tuition
Sponsoring your pursuit of a master’s degree is an investment by your organization in its growth.
