Frequently asked questions

Students looking at the front of the class

Due to the cohort nature and the Telfer EMHA curriculum, each student must complete all course requirements. We don’t grant transfer credits or provide exemptions for courses previously completed in undergraduate or graduate programs.

No. If you’re concerned that your undergraduate grades aren’t a true representation of your academic abilities, we recommend that you focus on achieving strong results on the required Harvard Math Module. We approach the admission evaluation more broadly and don’t disqualify students based only on academic performance.

The program is cohort-based with a set curriculum. You must complete the courses as prescribed each term.

Generally, you have three weeks to decide on accepting an offer of admission and securing a spot in the program with a non-refundable CAN$3,000 deposit.

Yes. You must participate in the capstone project in person, at the University of Ottawa, in the final term of studies. The capstone (course code EHA 6990) is part of the academic units you require to complete the program.

The Executive MHA program is designed specifically so that you can study while working full-time. The asynchronous delivery mode allows flexibility to plan and study according to your schedule.

You’ll only need to be away from work for one week to attend the in-person capstone project at the end of the program.
