Attend class in person, online or a blend of both

The Telfer Executive MBA schedules classes weekly alternating between Friday and Saturday in a hybrid format: Join your professors and peers at our Centre for Executive Leadership in Ottawa or participate via our real-time online delivery platform.

This bi-modal format offers all the benefits of in-person learning and networking, with the flexibility of remote access when you need it. No matter where your schedule takes you, our hybrid model means you won't have to miss a beat.

Learn through integrative teaching models

Our industry-leading faculty are invested in your success. They integrate multiple teaching methods and approaches, providing you with an immersive, practical learning experience that challenges you to immediately apply what you learn the moment you begin your next workday.

Drive transformation through experiential learning

Experiential learning has been at the heart of our program since the Telfer Executive MBA program was founded over 30 years ago. We take your education beyond the classroom and equip you with a variety of hands-on, real-world business and consulting experiences that are immediately applicable and highly valued in any senior management environment.

You’ll find the following elements of experiential learning integrated throughout your Executive MBA journey:

Active participation

Analyze, engage with, and interpret real-life business scenarios through case studies and simulations.

During your six consulting projects, apply the knowledge, analytical tools and frameworks you learn in the classroom to help real-world organizations grow and expand into new markets.

Collaborative learning

The program’s team-based approach mirrors the collaborative nature expected of today’s business leaders, requiring you and your team to leverage each other’s strengths and experiences as you learn.

Formal and informal methods for reflection and self-assessment take place throughout the program, encouraging deeper engagement and personal transformation.

Personalized learning

Implement your Business Development Project for an organization and topic of your choosing, tailoring what you’ve learned to your personal growth interests.

Benefit from team-based learning

The Telfer Executive MBA curriculum features a team-based approach to learning. When you begin the program, you are placed into a 4-to 6-person team that work for the duration of the program, including for your six consulting projects. This approach requires you to rely on the strengths and diverse experience of your peers and learn to build successful teams, while also reflecting and growing personally.
