“5 Days for the Homeless”
5 Days for the Homeless is a five-day charity campaign in which university students live "homeless" on campus to raise money and awareness for a local charity.
After five successful years at the University of Alberta’s School of Business, the event spread to nineteen Canadian business schools in 2010, raising $182,989 for charities across the country. To date we have raised $521,668. This year twenty-one universities and colleges across Canada will be participating in the campaign, with more joining each day. All donations will be used to help homeless shelters and organizations in the local communities of participating schools.
Students of the Telfer School of Management at the University of Ottawa are proud to be taking part in this campaign for the first time this year. Working closely with the organizing committee of the Sprott School of Business at Carleton, who participated for the first time last year, they hope to raise over $15,000 combined for Operation Come Home; a local charity that focuses on homeless and at risk youth.

During the five days, these students will be making personal sacrifices to make their community a better place.
