Innovative medical treatments have saved a lot of patients’ lives, but are usually very expensive. This situation will become more severe when the treatment becomes personalized. With drugs and medical treatments tailored to a subgroup of patients, their prices will inevitability be pushed up even further.  Given the hundreds of new targeted therapies and diagnostics in development, there simply is not enough time and money for us to conduct drug development in the traditional way. Here we proposed a new business model for precision medicine. Early attempt of this business model, such as the Operation Warp Speed for COVID-19 vaccine, has successfully slashed the time of drug discovery and keep the price under control.
