The Telfer School is proud to provide students with unique international experiences. These experiences allow our students to make the most out of their degree and apply their knowledge in an international setting.

Global Edge is an initiative of the Ontario government for enterprising post-secondary students, 19 to 29 years old. It provides participating students the opportunity to develop a broader understanding of the global economy. For example, during 2009-2010, fifteen participants worked for reputable international corporations, completed challenging work assignments and learned more about how international business operates.

Paid international work placements can vary from small and medium sized enterprises to multinational corporations anywhere around the world.

CO-OP terms are from 12 to 16 weeks. Salaries are paid by the employer.

Costs funded by the program include the following:

  • Return airfare (economy class)
  • Accommodation
  • Immunization
  • Visa/work permit
  • Pre and post-departure sessions
