Payment policy
Telfer Executive Programs is committed to providing high quality programming for participants. To ensure program viability, and due to program demand and pre-program preparation, the following cancellation policy applies to all programs unless otherwise indicated:
- Cancellations submitted 45 days or more prior to the program start date will not incur any cancellation fees.
- Cancellations submitted 15 – 44 days prior to the program start date will incur a cancellation fee equal to 50% of the cost of the program.
- Cancellations submitted 14 or fewer days prior to the program start date will incur fees equal to the full cost of the program.
- If you request cancellation within 24 hours of registering for a program, the cancellation will not incur any fees.
The program start date is the date on which program activities begin. This may be the first program class day, the orientation session or any pre-program activities such as, but not limited to, the initiation of pre-program assessments or coaching engagements, whichever comes first. The program start date for each of our programs is listed on its corresponding webpage.
All cancellations must be submitted in writing to executiveprograms@telfer.uOttawa.ca.
If Telfer Executive Programs decides to cancel a program, participants will be offered either full refund or a deferral of their registration to the next offering of the program, whichever is their preference.
Telfer Executive Programs is committed to providing payment terms that are fair, reasonable and that ensure program viability. The following payment policy applies to all registrations received for Telfer Executive Programs unless otherwise indicated:
Payment of program fees in full is due prior to the program start date. An obligation to pay the program fee is incurred at time of registration in accordance with this Payment Policy and in accordance with the Cancellation Policy. You may choose to be invoiced or pay your program fees in full via credit card at the time of registration.
Payment may be made via credit card, cheque, or direct deposit.
Payment by Credit Card: credit card payments are accepted at the time of registration via the ‘Billing’ section of the registration page or by telephone at 613-562-5800 x4748.
Payment by Cheque: cheques must include the invoice reference number and be mailed to 99 Bank Street, Suite 200, Ottawa, Ontario K1P 6B9 pay to the order of University of Ottawa.
Payment by Direct Deposit: If your registry of vendors includes the “University of Ottawa, 550 Cumberland, Ottawa ON K1N 6N5”, you can initiate a direct deposit payment that MUST include the University of Ottawa invoice reference number. When making a Direct Deposit you MUST provide the following email address for the direct deposit notification of payment: directpayment@uOttawa.ca.
If your registry of vendors does not include the “University of Ottawa, 550 Cumberland, Ottawa ON K1N 6N5”, please provide your Direct Deposit Enrolment Form to directpayment@uOttawa.ca . This form will be completed and returned to enable you to create the University of Ottawa as a vendor.
You can obtain a copy of your invoice through your registration account.

Click on your name at the top right of your screen and click on ‘My Account’ from the drop-down menu.

Once you have accessed your account, click on ‘Transactions’ in the left-hand menu.

Scroll down to the ‘Invoices’ section and click on your Invoice Number.

Click on ‘Print’ to access a PDF copy of your invoice.

Click on the Adobe icon to download the PDF copy to your computer.
If you have exceptional circumstances that prohibit you from complying with this payment policy, you must contact the Telfer Executive Programs team to make alternate payment arrangements prior to the program start date at executiveprograms@telfer.uOttawa.ca or by phone at 613-562-5921.
Deferrals are discussed between the participant and our team on a case-by-case basis. Please submit your deferral request in writing to executiveprograms@telfer.uOttawa.ca at least 45 days prior to the program start date.
If a program takes place over multiple fiscal years, payment may be split between fiscal years. Please contact the Telfer Executive Programs team at executiveprograms@telfer.uOttawa.ca or by phone at 613-562-5921 to make arrangements.
No, our programs are not eligible for Ontario Student Assistance Program (OSAP) funding or other forms of financial aid. Participants often access professional development funds through their organization for their program fees.
In select circumstances, we offer discounts to organizations. Please contact the Telfer Executive Programs team at executiveprograms@telfer.uOttawa.ca to discuss.
