Under CEO Kathryn Tremblay’s steady hand, excelHR and its affiliated companies — Altis Recruitment, Altis Technology and excelTR — managed to reverse the devastating impact of the pandemic, which saw hundreds of its placements lose their jobs practically overnight. The firms retained most of their existing customers while landing new contracts and gaining a stronger foothold in niche markets such as construction and health care. Tremblay’s consistent, inspired leadership during the pandemic has helped propel the companies to new heights, earning her the 2021 CEO of the Year Award. Kathryn Tremblay is also a member of Telfer's newly created Strategic Leadership Cabinet and recipient of the 2021 Trudeau Medal
