Winter Admission Pathway
The Program
While most new Telfer School of Management students typically begin their BCom program in the Fall, we understand that circumstances may lead you to prefer Winter admission. To support you, we offer the Winter Admission Pathway. This program allows you to start in January while still completing your degree alongside students who began in the Fall, ensuring you can take full advantage of everything Telfer has to offer.

Winter integration
Worried about starting in the winter? Don’t be! At Telfer, no student is left behind. We’ve designed tailored integration activities just for you:
- Academic Advisor support: once you accept your offer, an academic advisor will contact you to guide you through available academic resources and registration. Of course, you can enrol on your own, but we are here to support as well!
- Peer Mentors: Connect with upper year students who have recently taken the courses that you are about to undertake. They’re a valuable resource for questions. Not to mention they also offer several social and academic development activities.
- Student Experience: our student leaders oversee the 17+ student clubs at Telfer. It’s these student leaders who enable the ability to offer close to 100 events for studentseach year. For a student like you starting in the winter inter term, they will lead several events in early January to support in your transition.
- Telfer Career Centre: Even in January, we offer workshops specifically designed for you to jumpstart your career development.
- Scholarships: We’re proud to offer over 100+ scholarships to students, some with deadlines during the winter term.
Throughout your time at the Telfer School of Management, these resources and support will remain accessible to you.
Course Sequence
Knowing what courses you need to take is imperative. We’ve designed a particular sequence to ensure the courses you need to take will be offered and will allow you to graduate alongside your peers who started in the fall. Once you complete your 2nd year, you will then personalize your experience using our various BCom program option sequences.

Coop and French Immersion
The cooperative education program and French immersion program are still available to you even if you enter in the winter term. In most instances, with cooperative education, this means you will complete three (3) work-terms.
