Telfer International Business Case Challenge
The Telfer School of Management hosts the International Business Case Challenge twice a year, in November and March. This competition is a key component of the third-year BCom curriculum and gives students practical experience by applying international business knowledge to real-world scenarios.
During the challenge, student teams are formed to analyze a complex global business case, develop strategic solutions, and present their findings to judges comprising of faculty and industry professionals.
By participating in this challenge, students enhance critical thinking, teamwork, and communication skills, all while gaining actual insights into global business operations. The challenge is an opportunity for students to demonstrate their abilities and engage in a dynamic learning experience at the Telfer School of Management, while also connecting to fellow classmates, alumni and the greater Telfer community.
How It Works
Telfer BCom 3rd year students who are registered in the International Business course (ADM3318 and ADM3718). Each team will consist of 4 to 5 members.
The case will be released to all teams on November 16th, 2023.
Compete live in-person against your fellow Telfer BCom competitors on November 18th and if you make it through, also on November 19th.
The ADM 3318 case competition was a fun way to collaborate with peers and apply learnings from the classroom to a practical and real business scenario. It was an excellent opportunity for our team to present in front of industry professionals and build our case-cracking skills.
The Live Case Competition is a fantastic opportunity for students to unleash their potential as industry professionals. Their learning went beyond any expectation, as they transformed theoretical knowledge in applied skills by experiencing real-world business challenges in a highly interactive context.
