As part of SDG Month Canada, this interactive session invites students to explore how public policy can accelerate Canada’s transition to electric mobility while strengthening domestic manufacturing and protecting workers.

Participants will work in teams to craft coherent policy proposals that support the electrification of transportation systems, strengthen supply chains, and advance climate action.

The session will be led by Raymond J. Leury, MBA, President of the Electric Vehicle Council of Ottawa, who brings extensive experience in advancing electric mobility across public and private sectors.

Through hands-on teamwork and guided facilitation, students will develop practical policy solutions and compete for a cash prize. An equivalent amount will be donated in the winning team’s name to a charitable organization.

This session is designed for students interested in sustainability, public policy, business, economics, engineering, and climate action, and who want to shape Canada’s clean transportation future.

Competition details:
• Teams of up to 5 members
• One winning team will receive a $200 cash prize
• Matching donation to a charity in their name
