Attendees will have the opportunity to hear this year's project poster presentations from current participants in the Quality Improvement and Patient Safety (QIPS) Leadership Program, showcasing their innovative work and real-world impact. Following the poster presentations, Dr. Kumanan Wilson, CEO & Chief Scientific Officer of Bruyère Health Research Institute and Vice President Research & Academic Affairs of Bruyère Health will join us for his talk, The CANImmunize Story: How Canadians Can Solve Our Healthcare Issues, the Intersection of QI, and Large-Scale Innovation for System Improvement.
Dr. Wilson’s talk will be followed by an informal networking session and reception. Join us to network with executives, directors, leads of quality and safety, and current and past QIPS alumni.

Our keynote speaker, Dr. Kumanan Wilson is the CEO & Chief Scientific Officer of Bruyère Health Research Institute and Vice President Research & Academic Affairs of Bruyère Health.
Dr. Wilson is also a specialist in General Internal Medicine at The Ottawa Hospital and a Full Professor and Faculty of Medicine Clinical Research Chair in Digital Health Innovation at the University of Ottawa.
Dr. Wilson previously held the role of Scientific Advisor in Innovation for Bruyère Health and the Research Institute for over three years, supporting investigators and innovators to secure funding, develop partnerships, and bring ideas into practice. He brings expertise from his own entrepreneurial background as the co-founder of CANImmunize on how to combine science and innovation to solve relevant health system challenges for Canadians.
Dr. Wilson’s research focuses on digital health, health data, immunization, pandemic preparedness and public health policy and innovation.
He has received support from multiple organizations including the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR), the World Health Organization (WHO), The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and Canada’s Immunity Task Force.
