Whether you are new to media relations or would simply like to brush up on your interview skills the media relations masterclass will provide you with insights to help you ace your next interview.  General tips, knowledge mobilization, media preferences/habits, podcasts - these are just some of the topics we'll be discussing.

  • The impact of digital on media and KMb
  • The dos and don’ts of working with the media
  • How to prepare for interviews (radio, print, TV, Web, podcast, Skype)
  • The Conversation and the uOttawa expert database
  • Q&A and discussion

  • Learn how to give a compelling interviews
  • Develop compelling key messages when talking about your research
  • Recognize when the interview isn’t going your way, and what to do about it
  • Adjust your style to TV, radio, podcasts, print and other mediums
