Graduate Student Research Proposal Workshop

This fall, the Research Office is hosting five workshops for graduate students on writing research proposals. These workshops will provide you with valuable feedback on your research proposal from your peers.

*** You must attend the Information Session on Graduate Student Scholarships and Awards, held on September 13, to participate in these workshops. If you cannot attend the information session due to a scheduling conflict, please contact Cynthia Tang.

You will be required to submit a complete draft of your research proposal TWO DAYS before the workshop to participate.(Guideline to structure a research proposal). You will also be required to sign a non-disclosure agreement and return it to the Research Office with your proposal draft. This hands-on workshop is only for Telfer MSc and PhD students.

Please select one of the following 5 workshops to review your research proposal with your peers. Be sure to register for a workshop that will give you enough time to revise your proposal before your application deadline(s). Please use your uOttawa email address when registering.

September 19, 2023 – 10 am to 11:30 am

September 28, 2023 – 10 am to 11:30 am

October 3, 2023 – 4 pm to 5:30 pm

November 14, 2023 - 4 pm to 5:30 pm

November 15, 2023 - 11:30 am to 1 pm

Disclaimer: if fewer than three students register, the workshop will be cancelled and you will be asked to sign up for a different workshop. No more than nine participants will be registered in each workshop.
