Information Session on Referencing and Citations

By the end of this workshop, students should be able to:

• Understand why properly citing sources is an important aspect of academic integrity
• Differentiate between paraphrasing, summarizing, and quoting source material
• Identify the basic elements of an APA citation and know how to format citations correctly
• Describe the key features of citation management software and recognize its value as a tool for academic writing and research
