Increasingly hospitals are focusing on building their brand and are gaining an understanding of the intersection of a strong brand position as a key driver to securing transformational financial community support. At a time of shrinking budgets and competing priorities, philanthropy can help accelerate organizational visions and be the difference between standard of care and excellence. Community support is essential to meet the capital needs of hospitals, as the funding model in Ontario requires significant philanthropic commitments to bring a project to reality. We will briefly explore the government’s five stage process and highlight the importance of the relationship between hospitals and their foundations in securing approvals for capital projects. This session will provide insight into brand building and share tangible examples of how to secure exceptional philanthropic community support.
