Session on Referencing / Citation Managers
Telfer Research Office and Telfer Management Library
On September 24th, a session on referencing and citation managers will be presented by Allison Smith and Emily Da Silva from the Telfer Management Library. The goals of the workshop are the following:
- Understand the importance of referencing and citation management to their academic integrity as a graduate student
- Identify the basic elements of an APA citation and how to format it correctly
- Understand the value of using a citation management tool for academic writing as a graduate student
- Create a Zotero Library and add citations from common business sources (electronic journal articles, books, PDFs, websites, data)
- Use the Zotero plugin to add in text citations and create a bibliography in MS Word
- Edit metadata in Zotero to ensure citation formatting is correct
Participants will be required to complete a small assignment to prepare for the session, it will be shared by confirmation email on September 17th .
