Notice biographique

Le professeur Lapierre a complété un B.Sc. en psychologie à l'Université de Montréal. Il a fait ses études supérieures en psychologie industrielle et organisationnelle (M.A.Sc., University of Waterloo) et en administration des affaires (Ph.D., McMaster University).

La recherche du professeur Lapierre touche deux domaines : la psychologie de la santé au travail et le leadership. Ses études ont été publiées dans plusieurs revues savantes respectées, telles que le Journal of Management, Personnel Psychology, le Journal of Organizational Behavior, le Journal of Occupational Health Psychology, le Journal of Vocational Behavior, The Leadership Quarterly et le Journal of Occupational and Organizational Psychology. À l'heure actuelle, il agit à titre de corédacteur du Journal of Business and Psychology et il siège aux comités de rédaction des revues The Leadership Quarterly, Journal of Occupational Health Psychology et Occupational Health Science.

Le professeur Lapierre enseigne au niveau du bac ainsi qu'aux études supérieures. Il s'efforce à motiver ses étudiants à assumer la responsabilité de leur propre bien-être au travail, et de celui de leurs futurs employés. L'Université d'Ottawa lui a décerné un Prix d'excellence en éducation pour avoir fait preuve d'un enseignement de qualité exceptionnelle, doublé d'un solide programme de recherche.
