Biographie
Mayur Joshi est professeur adjoint en technologie et organisation à l’École de gestion Telfer. Il a auparavant été chargé de cours (professeur adjoint) à l’Alliance Manchester Business School de l’Université de Manchester, et a obtenu son doctorat en systèmes d’information et stratégie à la Ivey Business School de l’Université Western. Avant d’entamer sa carrière universitaire, il a été banquier durant plusieurs années et a exercé diverses fonctions liées à l’intégration de la technologie, à l’amélioration des processus et aux activités bancaires des succursales.
Le champ de recherche du professeur Joshi se situe à l’intersection des systèmes d’information et de la théorie de l’organisation. Il tente principalement d’analyser comment les technologies numériques façonnent les pratiques fondamentales, les processus et les stratégies d’organisation, et vice versa. Récemment, il a concentré ses efforts sur l’examen et la théorisation du rôle des scientifiques des données et de l’IA dans l’organisation.
Il présente régulièrement ses recherches et organise des ateliers de perfectionnement professionnel lors de conférences de premier plan, notamment l’International Conference on Information Systems, l’Academy of Management et l’European Group for Organizational Studies.
Ses recherches ont été publiées dans Management Information Systems Quarterly, le Journal of Management Studies, la MIT Sloan Management Review, le Journal of the Association for Information Systems, Research in the Sociology of Organizations et le Cambridge Handbook of Qualitative Digital Research. Il est rédacteur principal de la revue Information and Organization et membre du comité de rédaction du Information Systems Journal et du Journal of Strategic Information Systems. Il a également codirigé l’ouvrage Research Handbook on Artificial Intelligence and Decision-Making in Organizations.Il a reçu le prix Association for Information Systems Outreach Practice Publication, le Prix d’excellence en recherche Telfer – Chercheur prometteur et a obtenu plusieurs prix en récompense à son travail de rédacteur adjoint lors d’importantes conférences. Il a également vu l’un de ses articles figurer au palmarès des dix meilleurs articles de la revue MIT Sloan Management Review.
