Logan Katz Fellow

The Telfer School of Management, with the support of the accounting firm Logan Katz, has renewed the Logan Katz Fellow in accounting. Professor Sylvain Durocher has been appointed to a two-year term (June 1, 2011 to May 31, 2013) as the Logan Katz Fellow for his excellence in research and teaching.

Professor Durocher is a member of the Québec Ordre des comptables agréés (CA) since 1985. He has worked as an auditor in an accounting firm before he started his academic career. He was a professor of accounting at l’Université du Québec en Outaouais for several years before he joined the Telfer School of Management in 2006.

CMA Fellow

Professor Rhonda Pyper has been named CMA Fellow for a period of one year (June 1, 2011 to May 31, 2012) for her excellence in research and teaching.

CMA is the first professional certification association to offer direct support to a faculty member at the Telfer School of Management by awarding a CMA Fellowship, recognizing excellence in teaching and research. The CMA Accounting Fellow holds a CMA designation and serves as a direct point of contact for students and the academic community.

Our thanks to Logan Katz and CMA for their continued support of the Telfer School of Management!
