Research Environment
The School offers leading-edge research facilities where faculty, graduate students and colleagues can meet and collaborate.
Knowledge Discovery and Data Mining (KDD) Laboratory
The focus of the KDD Laboratory is the nontrivial process of extracting implicit, novel, and useful information from large volume of data. Graduate students and researchers from multidisciplinary areas of systems science, engineering, and e-business collaborate under the direction of Professor Bijan Raahemi.
Mobile Emergency Triage (MET) Research Program
Contributors to the MET program seek to develop a portable information system that can support emergency physicians to manage paediatric asthma exacerbations and co-morbid diseases. They include researchers, computer engineers and practicing physicians under the direction of Professor Wojtek Michalowski.
Emerging Technologies and Innovation Management Laboratory (ETIM)
A team of researchers led by Professor Jonathan Linton uses cutting-edge modeling and statistical software in a collaborative multidisciplinary environment to deal with the complex problem of determining how innovations can be used most effectively.
Marketplaces for Safe and Fair Trade (e-MP) Laboratory
Contributors to this program investigate the design, development, and usability of electronic marketplaces (e-marketplaces) as the main trade infrastructures of the future, concentrating on their safety and fairness. This initiative is led by Professor Morad Benyoucef.
