SAE Research Café

The annual SAE research café highlighted innovative student research in innovation and entrepreneurship, health systems management and analytics and performance. This event brought together M.Sc. students and students in joint Telfer-Engineering and Computer Science graduate programs. Participants had the opportunity to discuss their research through presentations and networking with academic colleagues and participants from industry and the public sector.

This event was organized by the IBM Centre for Business Analytics and Performance.

Canada’s First Open Compute Project  

The Centre for Business Analytics and Performance (CBAP) at the Telfer School of Management, University of Ottawa in collaboration with Integrated Device Technology hosted Canada’s first Open Compute Project (OCP) day on June 18, 2015. The objective of this event was to discuss the formation of an OCP Canada chapter focused on High Performance Computing (HPC). The OCP provides a worldwide community of academics and practitioners dedicated to sharing useful practices related to the data applications in organizations and in society in general. The Canadian technology industry has all the foundational technologies, skills, assets to be a strong contributor to this emerging global opportunity.
