Notice biographique

Mark Freel est professeur RBC en commercialisation de l’innovation à l’École de gestion Telfer de l’Université d’Ottawa. Il occupe également un poste de professeur en innovation et entrepreneuriat à l’École de gestion de l’Université de Lancaster, au Royaume-Uni, et est chercheur boursier à l’Institut Lazaridis de l’Université Wilfrid-Laurier. Avant d’arriver au Canada en 2006, il a fait partie du corps professoral des universités d’Édimbourg, d’Aberdeen, de Strathclyde et de Warwick. Il a en outre occupé des postes à la rédaction du Journal of Small Business Management et de l’International Small Business Journal. Actuellement, il exerce les fonctions de rédacteur en chef adjoint de la revue Entrepreneurship and Regional Development et siège à plusieurs comités consultatifs de rédaction. Ses recherches concernent essentiellement l’innovation et l’entrepreneuriat, ainsi que les façons dont les entreprises et les régions créent et acquièrent de la valeur. Le professeur Freel a aussi fait fonction d’expert-conseil sur des questions connexes auprès de divers organes de gouvernement au Canada, au Royaume-Uni et dans l’Union européenne.
