In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, major changes have been made to academic regulations. Because of this, the uOttawa Regional Mentoring Centre has been helping students by answering questions regarding academic dates, exams, and handling the summer semester from a distance. We know that many students have concerns regarding the summer semester being shifted online to an online delivery. Michael Garron Hospital’s East Toronto Appeal for Masks inspires Cross-Country Sewing Movement

On March 27th, the Michael Garron Hospital in Toronto, led by Telfer Masters of Health Administration alumna, Sarah Downey, made a public appeal for sewists in east Toronto to make 1,000 masks a week. The hospital is facing a personal protective equipment shortage and needed to reach out to the community for support. This Toronto-wide appeal has turned into a national campaign with the hashtag #MGH1000MASKS on social media, and Canadians are answering the call!    Read more ›
