Intern to Build Your Work Experience and Your Network
Eager to work while you’re part of our program? Take advantage of an internship. It’s a perfect opportunity to gain business experience, expand your professional network, and decide on a rewarding career path. Get in touch with the Graduate office to find out more about this competitive process.
Work full time or part time
Selected Interns can work part time from January to June, or full time from September to December. Full-time interns must complete all required course work prior to starting their internships. Students who find a full-time internship from September to December are required to be enrolled full-time and pay tuition fees for the semester.
Earn six units
Telfer MBA students selected for an internship also earn six units for their internships. A Telfer School faculty member supervises each student on an internship to make sure he or she applies concepts and tools from our program.
Each host organization is responsible for workplace supervision of each student. In addition to helping organizations achieve clearly stated objectives, interns must prepare final reports that show how they fulfilled the requirements set out by their host organizations.
Most students who take advantage of internships will earn while they learn. In some cases, students may work on an internship (particularly for start-ups) just for the experience. You can decide what works best for you.
You can learn just as much, if not more, about management outside the classroom as you can inside it. We open the door to a range of experiences that will not only enrich your studies and inform your career path, but that you will also remember and cherish for the rest of your life.
