From\nconducting thorough literature reviews to facilitating sophisticated\ndata analysis\, and from drafting insightful manuscripts to refining\nthem for publication\, the workshop covers a broad spectrum of\napplications. Participants will gain hands-on experience in leveraging\nChatGPT for enhancing their research efficiency and quality. The\nworkshop also critically addresses the ethical considerations and\nlimitations inherent in AI-assisted academic work\, ensuring a balanced\nand comprehensive understanding of this cutting-edge tool in the realm\nof academic publishing.\n\nThis workshop for Telfer PhD students was made possible by the\ngenerous support of Telfer alumni Deb Cross and John Duncan. \n\nPiers Steel is a professor in the Organizational Behaviour and Human\nResources area and is the Brookfield Research Chair at the Haskayne\nSchool of Business. He is a recognized authority on the science of\nmotivation and is known internationally for his productivity research\,\nreceiving widespread media coverage.\n\nProf. Steel’s particular areas of research interest include culture\,\nmotivation and decision-making. He is also currently driving a\nsystematic review of ethical research with the goal of identifying\nwhat is known and where knowledge gaps lie and sharing the knowledge\nin a practical and accessible format. He has expertise in systematic\nreview and meta-analysis\, having published over 25 scholarly articles\non the topic\, and is a member of the Society of Research Synthesis and\nMethodology. He has published several methodology papers on how to\nimprove meta-analysis.
