Thinking back to your childhood, was there a particular profession you dreamed of entering when you were an adult?

When I was a child, I was inspired by many things and one of them is from watching nature discovery documentaries. I wanted to be part of a crew who organized these scientific research expeditions and have the courage to discover all these unknown places and creatures, and to share with others the findings to enable new ideas from it. The beauty of knowing what inspires you is that it doesn’t limit you to one occupation. It motivates you towards the roles you want to play and how you would want to contribute in this world.

What made you decide to enroll within the Telfer Executive MBA program?

The Telfer Executive MBA program is the right program for me because it provides in-class learning and hands-on experience. It enable the candidates to apply their knowledge and skills through real and relevant business projects. I strongly believe in action-based-learning. Therefore, the Signature Series of Six Business Consulting Projects is the selling point. The design and administration of this program are simulating real-life as it promotes and exposes the candidates of diverse experience and background to work in teams and to bring out their individual best in the different business project settings.

What do you admire in a leader or mentor? Do you have someone who you consider a strong mentor or leader within your life?

A true leader also have the qualities of a mentor. To lead, to listen, and to empower. It is the ability to identify opportunities by seeing beyond the obvious in a situation or in a person.  A leader would use their strength and experience to foster an environment that enables innovation and growth for the future generation by inspiring others to explore their potentials, either personally or professionally. Throughout my career, I am thankful to have met teachers and colleagues who became my mentors and their leadership have inspired me to continue to do better for myself and for others.
