Question: Think back to when you were a child, what role or occupation did you dream to do when you grew up?
Answer: My desired role or occupation when I was younger was to have the ability to play all the time. Today, that means finding work where I don't feel the need take a vacation; to find work that I wake up and am excited to go to my job; a role where I don't know whether I am working or playing.
Question: Michael, Do you have a unique talent, or hobby? Any funny or unique stories that accompany this talent?
Answer: I am quite good at jump roping. When warmed up and with a bit of luck, I can double under jump consecutively for over 60 seconds at an average of 2+ double jumps per second.
Question: What was your craziest experience or most unique experience you have had while vacationing?
Answer: The craziest experience would be the Vipassana silent meditation retreat. This 10-day program is where you wake up at 5 a.m. and meditate every hour with breaks in between until 9 p.m. You are not allowed to look at anyone, read, write, speak, etc. During these 10 days I received the answers I was always seeking.
Question: Who was your favourite movie or song growing up? What put it above the other movies or songs that you have heard?
Answer: Eurotrip and America Pie were great movies when I was growing up because the adventures they went on and the mischief that happened was funny and inspiring.
Question: What is your goal of the Program?
Answer: My goal for the Telfer Executive MBA program is to meet great people, build my network, help others realize their dreams, be happy while in the program, learn, mature, and perform at a high level academically and of course to achieve my MBA degree.
Question: What are you looking forward to completing while in the Telfer Executive MBA Program?
Answer: The Summer Business Consulting Project sounds exciting. I may choose to create a start-up organization. Specifically, I visualize an idea with high potential, it would be a tech business that provides a solution to a large population.
Question: What would you say was a turning point in choosing the Telfer Executive MBA?
Answer: The great networking events that I was invited to prior to the program. The stimulating conversations with Sophia and other candidates was key in choosing the Telfer Executive MBA. Also, the bank accepting my loan application didn’t hurt.
Question: Why did you choose the Telfer Executive MBA?
Answer: It's a great program globally. It is in Ottawa. Both the private sector and government know the value that the Telfer Executive MBA hold for candidates and alumni. There is also a lot of great alumni that have graduated the program.
Question: Discuss any charitable or community work that you have completed recently or not for profit organizations you support. What draws you to this cause?
Answer: I started a non for profit organization 2hile I was attending University that did several sock collections and door-to-door drives for homeless people.
