Thinking back to your childhood, was there a particular profession you dreamed of entering when you were an adult?
There were two occupations that I dreamed of doing when I grew up. I was fascinated with aviation as a child. I always wanted to become a pilot. I liked the idea of traveling all over the globe and visiting every country that was possible. I still get that feeling of excitement each time I set foot on a plane.
Beside from wanting to be a pilot, I also dream wanted to become a professional soccer player. My brothers and I would spend hours playing with other kids in the neighbourhood. I remember when we were home alone we would turn the living room into a soccer ground and kick the ball around. Soccer was the only thing we talked about and I had the aspiration of playing professionally.

What do you admire in a leader or mentor? Do you have someone who you consider a strong mentor or leader within your life?
To me a leader is someone who inspires others to be great and want to do things for the success and benefit of the team. A leader must be able to identify the strength and weakness of his or her team. A leader should be a good listener, care about the team’s success and as well as each of the individuals’ success. Above all that, the leader should show empathy and be humble.
One person that I consider to be a leader and even a mentor to me is my dad. He is the definition of hard work, discipline and dedication. There are attributes that I have learned from him and try to utilize every day. He taught me the value of every single individual and how important it is to care for others. He is someone that I look up to and aspire to be like every single day.
