Thinking back to your childhood, was there a particular profession you dreamed of entering when you were an adult?
Thinking back to when I was growing up and learning about this world and all the artifacts around me, I made a subconscious decision that I wanted to be an astronaut. I guess my interest in science overall attracted me to this occupation; I loved physics and chemistry including space and evolution.
I thought of joining the Air Force at one point as well. To this day I have not given up on this dream, I am learning to fly, and skydiving is one of my hobbies.
What are you looking forward to completing while in the Telfer Executive MBA Program?
I am looking forward to completing the Signature Series of Six Business Consulting Projects as I think this is "as real as it gets." You can execute on the project scopes by encompassing all the aspects of your learning throughout the program.
What do you admire in a leader or mentor? Do you have someone who you consider a strong mentor or leader within your life?
To me, a leader is a person who can lead with followership. Without followers you are not leading. The art of persuading people in what motivates them is effective leadership to me. I consider my parents to be my mentors.
