Who was your favorite movie star or artist growing up?
One of my favorite artists growing up and to this day is Stevie Wonder. I remember listening to his old vinyls with my father and playing the air guitar when the song Superstition would begin playing. This song is still one of my top favorite songs of all time and certainly reminds me of a time when life was a lot simpler and care-free. In addition to loving his music I also have the upmost respect for the artist, as he overcame great adversity in pursuing his dreams.
What are you looking forward to completing while in the Telfer Executive MBA Program?
What I look forward to the most in pursing the Telfer Executive MBA Program are the six business consulting projects. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a variety of organizations in helping them achieve their ultimate goal. The professional experience, personal growth and genuine satisfaction that will come out of this experience I believe will be integral in moving forward in my career.
What do you admire in a leader or mentor? Do you have someone who you consider a strong mentor or leader within your life?
A leader in my life I have a lot of respect for is my father. He has always had a strong work ethic, a determination to succeed and conducted himself with the highest level of integrity. In addition he has proven to have a business instinct which allowed him to be a successful technology innovator. The business leaders I have respect for are those that conduct themselves with the highest level of integrity, are generous with their time with employees, customers and the local community, encourage a flat organizational structure and provide opportunities for professional development.
