Benjamin, thinking back to your childhood, was there a particular job that you wanted to do when you grew up?
Growing up, I had the dream of becoming a doctor, specifically I wanted to become a surgeon. However, in retrospect, I can now understand how this dream would have been very difficult for me to live for many reasons, but especially given my feebleness for smart and beautiful nurses.
There are many reasons for choosing to complete an Executive MBA. What drew you to choose the Telfer Executive MBA Program, Benjamin?
I chose the Telfer Executive MBA Program because of the richness of its curriculum. The hands-on approach involving the Signature Series of Six Business Consulting Projects which two projects include international business trips, as well as the program’s emphasis on team synergy were my biggest motivators in choosing the Telfer Executive MBA Program.
What qualities do you admire in a leader?
In the area of leadership, I admire leaders who make the conscious choice to lead by example. In my opinion, leadership by example should encompass a total awareness of self (strengths and weaknesses), and the nurturing of one’s strengths for the common good of every group/organizational member. It is my belief that people in general tend to remain loyal to a leader who is true, empathetic, non-condescending, and approachable.
