Wade, thinking back to your adolescence was there a particular job you dreamed of doing when you grew up or perhaps a field you had thought you would never enter?
Growing up in London, Ontario I wanted to work in any field other than business. Business, I had reasoned, was nothing more than the pursuit of profit and at any cost.
With experience, I have come to understand that business is about relationships with your customers, providing good jobs to your community and producing a product that can compete on the world stage. The truly elegant organizations that I have been fortunate to work in have championed effective management as the gateway to commercial success.
There are many compelling reasons to undertake an Executive MBA Program. What is your goal for the Telfer Executive MBA Program?
As a candidate at the Telfer Executive MBA I plan to hone my proficiency and refine my management skill-set in order to continue on my career path.
I work in the elevator maintenance and service sector with a focus on strategic planning and change management. In selecting a business school it was paramount to my goals that I have the opportunity to interact with a diverse group of people. I am been impressed with the calibre and diversity of this exceptional group of professionals who are my classmates. The range of diversity that this group holds will make Telfer School’s cases study and applied approach to learning an extremely exciting experience. The Telfer Executive MBA has already exceeded my significant expectations and I am looking forward to what the rest of what Program has to offer.
