Thinking back to your adolescence was there a particular job you dreamed of doing when you grew up?
When I was young I wanted to be an architect like my Grandfather. I viewed his ability to physically build something from a concept in his mind as an amazing feat. While I still think that this is an incredible skill, as an adult I realized I had a passion for building people and this why I work at a university.

Scott, what qualities do you admire in a mentor?
I have had several mentors throughout my life. Often these mentors have a very different personality from my own. This allows to me to receive feedback and understand myself from an opposing perspective. These leaders have always pushed me to be more than I am and taught me that there are no peaks only plateaus in life.
