Congratulations to the Graduates of the
Telfer Executive MBA Class of 2016

Members of the Telfer Executive MBA Class of 2016 received their degree on Saturday, June 18, 2016.

The convocation ceremonies for the Telfer School of Management took place in the Southam Hall at the National Art's Centre on Saturday evening.

Candidates and family members joined together at the Chateau Laurier prior to the official ceremony to celebrate their big day. There were many celebrations to be had within the cohort since they last met in April. One member had received Forty under 40 award, a few have made the pivot in their career and accepted new positions, one of who is relocating to California at the end of the month for a job opportunity, in addition to celebrating several of the start-ups that have been founded within the cohort.

Toward the end of the event Sophia Leong, Executive Director of the Telfer Executive MBA, and Francois Julien, Dean of the Telfer School of Management, provided their own congratulations and praise to the graduates and a big 'thank you' for the support they received from their family and friends.

Before making their way to the National Arts Centre, the Class Council, comprised of a member from each of the seven teams and the class president, provided a few memories and words of inspiration to their peers.

The Class Council also continued the tradition of presenting the director of the program with the class gift to the program. The framed silk artwork was purchased by the Class while in Shanghai. The silk panel represented both their International Business Consulting Trip and their cohort. The silk piece itself was created at a silk museum they had visited on their first morning in Shanghai. The design represented their cohort through the school of gold fish centering in the middle, representing their cohort’s collaborative personality on their goal.

Congratulations to our newly minted Executive MBA graduates.
