The Class of 2017 began their holiday on Friday December 4th in the spirit of giving.
On Friday members of the class launched their campaign to support Oshki Kizis Lodge this holiday season. Oshki Kizis Lodge is a 21-bed shelter operated by Minwaashin Lodge for First Nations, Inuit and Metis women and children who are fleeing abuse. The shelter empowers women on their healing journey and assists them with accessing housing, financial, legal and medical resources. Further, the shelter also offers a wide range of services.
The class will be collecting :
- Gently used women’s winter jackets, boots, scarves, hats and gloves
- Gently used children’s mittens, scarves and hats
- Monetary donations that will be directed to initiatives where the lodge staff have identified a need:
- Family Time
- Personal Care Items
Items will be collected up until December 18th.
